World Down Syndrome Day
21st Mar 2025
We had a great day in school today, celebrating World Down Syndrome Day. We all began the day by wearing odd socks into school to raise awareness and mark the occasion. Thank you to Lucie and Aobh from P7 who came up with lots of fundraising ideas to raise money for a Down Syndrome charity. The girls were selling bracelets, worry worms, cupcakes and held a guess the name of the bunny competition with was won by Roisin in P6. Lucie even spoke to the school in Assembly about why World Down Syndrome Day is special to her. A lot of hard work went into this event from the girls so well done to them for such a successful day! The total amount raised was £380, which was an amazing achievement. Thank you to all of our wonderful parents for supporting such a worthwhile cause!
