Our Primary 5,6 & 7 classes had a visit from Pat McCauley of Water NI. they took paort in a very informative and interesting discussion about single use plastic and hwo we can cut down by refuilling water bottles using tap water.
Pat was most impressed by the number of children who already have reuseable water bottles in St Mary's. Thwe awareness of this issue amongst the children is phenomenal and we all were very impresssed by teh number of examples they were able to cite.
Pat has left a lot of new water bottles and these will be given out to any child who needs one. Simply ask you teacher tomorrow.
Parents please help your child be ensuring they bring a filled water bottle to school each day! Hydration aids concentration!
