P6 investigated placing padding under a helmet. Would it protect a Viking's brain in battle? Turns out....yes! We dropped eggs(brain) inside tins(helmet) from a height of 2 metres. One tin was padded with cotton wool and one was without.Padding inside slows the deceleration of the weapon, resulting in much less force reaching the skull. We had great fun!
