Your child has received their first novel of P6. They have been assigned reading for Wednesday. Guided reading sessions will be “Literature Circles”. This is a form of “Book Club” for children. They will be assigned roles every Wednesday morning. I will elaborate on this at a later stage. The aim is to develop comprehension skills. Another name of this type of reading is “Reciprocal Reading” if you would like to google it! This is in addition to Accelerated Reader. There will be written homework assigned this Friday.
