A big thank you to Mr Dale Finlay for taking time out today to call us on Zoom, to talk about how he uses Maths in his job, as we celebrated the final day of Maths week. Dale is head of AI Google and lives in Singapore. He talked to us about growing up in Bangor, moving to Glasgow, then to Australia and now Sinapore. He spoke about his career, working for Google and how they have been working on technology to save the Great Barrier Reef and technology using AI. It was so interesting and he has definitely inspired some budding mathematicians for the future!
