Green flag Assessment

The assessors made the following comments about the strengths of your school evident in the assessment visit:

A phenomenal outdoor learning project undertaken with students taking a strong ownership over the rollout. The work in the garden was evidently a source of well-deserved pride as the students could explain what, when, why and how each aspect of the garden was installed. It was great to see excellent community relations being fostered throughout the garden work, as well as seeing strong networks throughout the school – from students working together to identify birds to staff members bringing in items of biodiversity interest to the students.

The assessors made the following suggestions which may enhance your Eco-Schools programme going forward:
Very little to add as I think the students, eco coordinator and wider school team have an excellent grasp of their environmental work. I would advise continuing with community outreach when selecting new environmental projects and linking project data in with curriculum work.
