Green Flag and Eco Awards

We are absolutley thrilled to announce today that we have received our Green Flag again!!!
The Eco Committee, Eco Co-ordinators, parents and pupils have worked so hard to produce and maintain our new pollinator garden and we are so proud and grateful to them all.
We must mention and thank three instrumental people in this entire process- Mr Dorrian, Joanna and David Dowd. Their enthusiasm and expertise have been monumental in spearheading this project and we are deeply indebted to them.
When the Green Flag inspector visited school she was 'blown away' by the project and we were encouraged to nominate a child for 'Eco Pupil of the Year' and a teacher for 'Eco Teacher of the year'.
We have nominated Áine Dowd for her exceptional motivation and drive to complete the project. She has been a great asset and we are so very proud of her. We also nominated Mrs Coleman and Mrs McAree as 'Eco teachers of the Year' as they supported and guided the project within school and completed all the necessary paperwork and data for the GreenFlag.
