Hearty congratulations to both our quiz teams on two magnificent performances today. Indeed having attended these quizzes for more years than I care to remember, I can honestly say this was the closest ever. Our younger team were pipped at the post by a great team from St Mary's Portaferry. Both teams enjoyed spells in first place throughout. Unfortunately our team were pipped at the post losing out on first place by only two points.
Our older team finished just one point off the lead. There was a tense and lengthy tie breaker session with St Patrick's Ballygalget eventually edging out St Mary's, Portaferry.
I was proud of both our teams who on another day could easily have taken first place in both sections.
Well done to: Anna, Erin, Eve, James, Aidan, Molly, Peter and Tomás.
