The boys and girls from St. Mary's were treated to a wonderful visit from Olympic athlete, European gold medalist and proud Portaferry woman Ciara Mageean today. Ciara is an incredible ambassador for Co Down and was so kind and patient with all our star struck pupils and staff! The pupils got to hold all her amazing European, Commonwealth, World and Irish medals and asked many questions about her career to date. Ciara is a wonderful role model and we hope this is a memory the pupils will hold dear for life!
