P1-3 We worked on the theme of ‘Winter trees’. We used colour washes in blues to create the winter sky. Then we used torn black paper to make silhouettes of trees. We sprinkled some white paint on top for paint. P4-7 We worked on the theme of ‘Winter trees’. We used torn masking tape to make tree shapes and then painted over the masking tape with colour washes. Some washes look like winter skies and some look like the Northern lights. We carefully peeled off the masking tape which had ‘resisted’ the paint. It left the shape of the trees. Then we used shading techniques to make light and dark areas on our trees.
