Dear Parent,
St. Mary’s Primary School wants to establish the 2018/19 Eco committee. St. Mary’s has successfully received Bronze and Silver status but now our goal, and final step, is the must sought after Green Flag award, which symbolises excellence in the field of environmental activity.
St. Mary’s Eco-Committee will be made up of pupils, two pupil representatives from P1- P7, volunteers and staff. If you are a parent and would like volunteer to part of our eco committee, please get in touch. Your Picture will be displayed on our school ‘Eco News Board’ alongside the children.
In order for your child to be selected for the Eco-Committee children will complete an eco-activity created by their class teacher in school. We will then ask a member from the National Trust to select two representatives from each class.
The Eco-Committee will be announced in January after the Christmas holidays!
