Safer Internet Day 2019

5th Feb 2019

Our Pupils took part in a range of interactive workshops today based on the concept of consent on the internet. The older pupils explored issues such as accepting Terms & Conditions without actually reading them, Allowing apps to access your device's camera, location and microphone, sharing online images and information without gaining or giving consent.

There were lost of interesting ideas and viewpoints shared. Most children agree that talking to mum and or dad was very important. There was great discussion about the many different types of games and apps the children use on a regular basis. Tonight may be a great time to talk to your child about online safety and about the type and range of apps they currently use.

Below is a great link for parents to have a quick read on the various apps available and being used by young people today. Some though not all are currently being used by our pupils.
